Tors, Burials, Bullet Holes and Circles
Event Description:
Heading north from Pork Hill Car Park we will visit Cox Tor and descend to cross some farmland before climbing to Stephen’s Grave and up to White Tor. Descending through humpy ground we will a standing stone and move on to a stone circle. The long ridge to Roos Tor will give great view if clear, then we will continue to Great Staple Tor. Beyond this impressive tor we will descend to Merrivale Quarry, cross the road and follow the route of the Abbots Way up to a stone cross near Feather Tor. A walk around Barn Hill will complete our walk.
