Rock Climbing Adventure
Event Description
Join Chris Cowdrey and his team of Instructors from At Edge Mountaineering to see Dartmoor in a whole different light...climbing up the side of Dartmoor's granite tors!
Rock climbing is a great adventure activity and the perfect way to challenge yourself. With this in mind, come fully prepared for whatever the weather can throw at us! Come along with an open mind and don't worry if you can't get to the top (although we will try our best to get you there!).
This half day experience is perfect for complete beginners with little to no climbing experience or parents who want to take their children climbing.
By the end of this experience, you will:
- Get a taste for climbing
- Climb as much as you can until your arms give out!
- Experience roped climbing and abseiling
- Go home with big smiles, stories to tell and sore muscles!

Location: Hound Tor Car park
Time: 10:00 - 13:00 and 14:00 - 17:00

Instructor: Chris Cowdrey of At Edge Mountaineering. Chris is a climber, mountaineer, skier, summer mountain leader and rock climbing instructor based in Somerset, England. He's spent many years hill walking, mountaineering and climbing all over the UK. Starting in the outdoors at a very early age and building up experience in many outdoor disciplines over the years. From hill walking in the Lake District to Ski mountaineering in the French Alps.
