Dawdle and Draw: Haytor Quarries
Event Description:
A guided walk with opportunities to sketch along the way with artist and qualified moorland guide, Karen Pearson. We will follow the granite railway to visit the two quarries below Haytor Rocks, stopping along the way to see and draw the landscape in different ways. Everyone (above 14 years) is welcome, and no drawing experience is needed!
Come along and try out some sketching with charcoal and pencil as Karen leads this walk and workshop in the fantastic Dartmoor landscape. Karen will bring drawing boards, charcoal, pencils and some paper. If you would like to bring any other artist’s materials, are very welcome to do so. You will be able to carry your own board and paper during the walk. The walk is mainly along the railway but we will be on uneven, rocky terrain. Please dress for Dartmoor, bring a hot drink, a mid morning snack and something to sit on.
