Rainforest Walk to Wistman's Wood
Event Description:
One of Dartmoor’s most precious habitats is temperate rainforest. This walk takes us round the perimeter of one of these special oakwoods, so special in fact that we will admire it from the edge rather than risk damaging it by entering. You will learn about this habitat and the unusual plants and animals that make their home here.
The path is stony, irregular and muddy in places so you will need well-treaded footwear; bring waterproofs too – after all, they call it rainforest for a reason!
