Haytor Orienteering Challenge!
Event Description
Organised by Devon Orienteering especially for the inaugural Dartmoor Outdoor Festival this event offers a challenge for both experienced orienteers and those wanting to try orienteering for the first time!
Course Information
Score course. 30 controls to find in any order. The only time constraint is that the course will open at 9.30 (the last start will be at 10.00) and closes at midday. So you have up to 2.5 hours to find all the controls.
Explanation for those new to orienteering: There will be 30 checkpoints (known as controls in orienteering) placed out on the moors. You will be given a map with all the control locations marked on it. Find as many as you can in any order you like, simples!........ or is it?!!

Dogs: Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome
Cost: £9 for adults (age over 21) £3 for juniors. For those wishing to participate as a pair or a small group we charge £1 for each extra map, e.g. the total cost for 2 people going around together will be £10, 3 people £11 etc.
