Midday Meditation on the Moors - Sunday
Event Description
Join us for mid-day meditation practice, following traditional ayurvedic techniques whilst soaking up the boundless Dartmoor landscape; both meditation and the great outdoors should be accessible and available to everyone, and go hand in hand when it comes to cultivating a sense of personal wellness. Aligning a practice of presence and personal exploration with the beauty of Merrivale, a site of spiritual significance for past generations of Devonians, this class offers students an opportunity to ground themselves in the steady cyclical nature of the land itself, while learning breathwork skills (pranayama) and deepening their understanding of meditation, for benefits both on and off the mat!

This is an outdoor event on Dartmoor so please bring clothing suitable for the weather as well as suitable for movement. It can be windy, so warm layers are advisable.

Instructor: Margaret Larkin, owner of the Prana Project. Margaret has been a yoga practitioner for the last six years and took her first steps into teaching in nurseries across the Manchester area post Covid. Teaching for her was a practical way of helping the collective thrive and to not be restricted by all that is seemingly beyond our control. Now situated in the heart of the stunning South West, where endless skies meet staggering tors, it’s definitely hard not to feel ‘connected’ down here.
Margaret passionately advocates for wellness spaces being an accessible safe environment that contributes to improving communal support for mental wellbeing.
